Classmates - Many of you have already heard that Lisa Lindner-Wesley passed away this past March. Here is a little information:
Lisa A. Wesley, age 48, of Maitland, Florida passed away March 31, 2010. She was born June 30, 1961 in Plainview, Long Island, New York to Arthur Lindner and Beverly Haines. She had been the owner and operator of a cleaning and painting company. Lisa was predeceased by her daughter, Cortni and her sister, Traci Ann. She is survived by her daughter, Shayna Wesley of Lake Mary, FL; father, Arthur Lindner of Winter Park, FL; mother, Beverly Haines and her husband Raymond of Sautee, GA and three sisters, Donna Schwartz of Longwood, Tami Lindner of Winter Park, FL and Maureen Kelly and her husband Edward of Longwood, FL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help pay the funeral bill by calling the funeral home at 407-322-4263.
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for just one more day, just one more word, and just one more touch. We may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that Lisa's life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
Lisa, the memory of your smile keeps you & your memory alive and shall continue to bring joy and happiness to all those that you have touched and to those who had the pleasure of knowing you.

June 11, 2009 - Cyndi Shore loses her long battle with cancer
The following note is from a close friend of Cyndi's:
Hey Robert,
I just wanted to let you know that our classmate Cindi Shore passed away this past Saturday, June 6th. She had been battling cancer for many years and unfortunately it was a fight she just could not win. She was a dear friend to me and to many of our fellow classmates and she will be greatly missed. If you wouldn't mind sending out a note to everyone I would really appreciate it.

It is with a heavy heart that I bring the news of my mother, Carolyn Peters, who went to live with the Lord, April 21st, 2009.
The following arrangements have been made:

New York Ave. Cross over Webster &
you will see the limo. or go to cemetary office & walk

Someone has contacted us regarding a WPHS class of 1980 class ring that was found with a metal detector. The initials on the ring are "VDM" and the finder has said that the size of the ring might indicate that is was a female's ring. A picture of it is HERE. If you know who's it is, let me know. Thanks.
I also have some very sad news to pass on to the WPHS class of 1980. Donna Willcox Koziara passed away unexpectedly on Christmas day 2006 at her home in Central Florida. She was an elementary school teacher at Vista Lakes Elementary School in Orlando and leaves behind a teenage son, Zachary, and teenage daughter, Brittany. (both currently students at Boone High School)

3/4/08 Dear classmates, yesterday you received and email from Dean Harisis regarding our classmate, Cindi Shore. If you haven't seen the letter, please take a minute to read Dean's heartfelt email and keep Cindi in your thoughts and prayers. Dean's letter is HERE
The 2008 WPHS Alumni Picnic in the Park is Saturday April 19th, from 10am to 1pm. It's the WPHS 80th anniversary so it will be good. Here is the flyer. Just click on it to see a bigger version. Hope to see you there!
10/26/2006 - From Bob Charles: To All, it is with great sadness that I inform you that Dave Taylor, a fellow grad and good friend died last Friday(20 Oct 06).
Dave a had a history of a heart-related condition and his brother, Dan, told me that Dave died peacefully in his sleep.
Although Dave was quiet and reserved, he had lots of friends and had a great sense of humor. He was a very talented artist and he was a member of the National Honor Society and also graduated from the University of Central Florida where he studied Political Science. Dave and I went through 2 years of Air Force ROTC together and also worked on the Navy Base together for 4 years. He worked as a Data Analyst on the Orange County staff. His funeral will be this evening(26 Oct 06) in Winter Park. I will forward more information soon.

"WPHS Class of 1980" gave a donation of carnival toys and a card to the LMC 2004 "Holiday Wishes for the Troops" drive. Here is a response received as a result of that drive...
